The BARNES Group

 

The BARNES Group was founded by Heidi Barnes and Thibault de Saint Vincent.  

 

The Group's origins date back to 1994 when Heidi Barnes set up a real estate company in London dedicated to assisting international clients wishing to relocate to London. The company's success led Heidi Barnes to open a new office in Paris in 1995, and BARNES became a leading name in the business in just a few years time.

 

After working for over 15 years at the head of residential real estate companies in France and the United States, Thibault de Saint Vincent came to the realization in early 2000 that the luxury real estate market was going global. In 2003, Thibault de Saint Vincent became a real estate broker in Florida and opened the first BARNES office in Miami. In just a few years, BARNES Miami soon became a reference for advising and assisting French investors in Florida.

 

In 2004, the BARNES Group was launched, combining Heidi Barnes' Anglo-American style of service and Thibault de Saint Vincent's entrepreneurial spirit. After setting up in London and Miami, Barnes' opened its "Paris Right Bank" office, located at the heart of France's most affluent city at 22, rue de l'Hôtel de Ville in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

 

This new international structure quickly called for the creation of a skilled management team. Associate Richard Tzipine joined the company on 1 January 2006 as CEO and Managing Director. Tzipine’s experience as corporate manager of a top international media group allowed him to propel the group’s Paris office as one of the leading luxury real estate agencies in Paris.

 

From 2006 to 2011, BARNES continued its development by:

 

• Opening two new offices in Paris:

                 Left Bank – 13, rue Bonaparte – 75006 PARIS

                 Right Bank – 18, rue des Belles Feuilles – 75116 PARIS

• Opening six new offices outside of Paris (Cannes, Aix-en-Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Biarritz, Deauville and Courchevel)  
• Creating the "Luxury Homes" and "Residential Buildings" departments
• Creating the "Castles and Manors" department
• Opening two new international offices (Geneva and New York) 
• Setting up an international network of correspondents (Asia, Russia etc.)
