Aix-en-Provence

The pearl of the South

In the South East of the Provence, thirty minutes away from Marseille, Aix-en-Provence will tempt you greatly :  city of water, city of art  and architecture, it is the perfect destination for the pleasure-lovers seeking relaxation in an elegant place steeped in history.

Devantures and leisures

You just have to amble on the Cours Mirabeau and on the market places, to wander in the prestigious district of Mazarin, from Granet Museum up to Hôtel de Caumont where the most beautiful mansions and historical apartments can be found, to soak up the city life. You stroll down to the great theatre through the contemporary architecture of the Provençale promenades dedicated to shopping, to end up for a bite on the Place de la Rotonde. Before going for a walk up on the North East city from where you have an unobstructed view over the vales of Pinchinats, Saint-Marc-de-Jaumegarde and the Thoronet.

Mas and Bastides

Who doesn’t dream of purchasing a mas (a farm house) or a bastide (country house), for the holiday time or a week-end, or even better, as a second home to welcome the whole family and the friends ? The ideal starting point to behold the breathtaking landscape of the Montagne Sainte Victoire painted by Cézanne, then celebrated by Picasso who bought the Château of Vauvenargues. Not to forget to go and discover the villages around, like Puyricard, Eguilles, Ventabren, Cabriès, Saint-Cannat, Rognes and Lambesc, set in a superb countryside rich of its vineyards and olive groves. And it is there, in the magnificent properties and châteaux of Puyricard that the lyrical and piano festival of La Rocque d’Anthéon takes place, not far away from Rognes, a city renowned for its truffle market.

A true quality of life

All over the world, Aix is known for its architecture and its quality of life. From the large apartments in the town center, you are at walking distance of every interesting thing to do, though being at the same time quite near the airport of Provence Marseilles and the TGV (fast train) station. No surprise if the Parisians are the first ones to come down to enjoy Aix whereas the foreigners visit her each summer in large numbers.

A dynamic market

There is a strong demand to buy in Aix-en-Provence and the real estate market there is very dynamic, stimulated by the purchasers wishing to find an apartment to retire in the sun and lead a life both attractive and not isolated and close to all amenities.
